Vera will give an overview of the social innovation ecosystem in Portugal, and their experience establishing a competence centre, sharing learning and challenges. She will also provide insights about ecosystem building and systemic change.

In this session, Rethink Ireland and Genio will discuss ‘cross-sector’ experiences of social innovation. Rethink Ireland will talk about our experience with the Innovate Together fund, a fund set up to support innovative responses to the COVID-19 crisis collaborating with the Irish Government, the philanthropic, and the social innovation communities. Genio will talk about supporting the implementation of Housing First - a comprehensive and holistic approach to addressing homelessness. Drawing on their experiences of supporting the scaling of this innovation across Ireland, they will give insights into challenges and opportunities of a cross-sectoral approach.
